Bunnies and Chicks

Jo here this week :) Thank you to everyone who joined in with Tracie's Womanly dare last week - all the cards were gorgeous! With Easter nearly here - doesn't time fly! I thought that I would choose a dare this week to incorporate this...

I would like this week to see cards with a chick, a bunny or both!

Of course you may add anything else to your cards - have a good week and I can't wait to see your cards!

Cos I'm a woman!

Hi there,

Thanks so much to everyone who joined in with Kathy's Ready Steady Cook dare last week, it was a toughy huh?

This week it is me, Tracie, who will be setting the dare for you - and iI hope it is a nice easy one. Seeing as this weekend is Mothers Day in the UK, and I am doing the 600 mile round trip home to see my mummy, I want the focus of your cards to be the girls. It can be any style, any theme, and any recipient - as long as she is female.

Can't wait to see all your cards. so don't forget to leave us a link to your card so we can all share in your creations. Here are some cards from the Design team to help get you thinking. xx

Ready, Steady, Cook!

Hello and welcome to another Daring Cardmakers' Friday, I hope you're ready to play!
It's Kathy here this week to set the new challenge, but before I do, we'd all like to say a huge Thank You to everyone who took part in Jane's Patchwork Inspired dare last week. The cards were, as always wonderful and inspiring - we just love the way you are all so generous about sharing your work.

So, what's this week's dare all about?
Here in the UK there's a TV programme that's been going for years. A couple of viewers are invited to bring a bag of cookery ingredients to the studio and two top chefs have to make a meal using the contents of those bags - they don't know what will be in the bags beforehand.

So this dare is my take on that theme - I'll tell you the ingredients you have to use, then all you have to do is make the card.

Here are your ingredients:
3 different papers
At least one piece of chipboard
At least 1 button
At least 1 piece of ribbon
optional: 1 extra item/element of your choice

That's about it, all you need to do now is sort out your bits of stash and make up your card - you're allowed to use whatever paints, pens and inks you like, but otherwise you must stick to the ingredients in the list.

For the Design Team I added a twist, to make it more difficult! I sent each of them their own "bag" of ingredients - unlike you, they weren't allowed to use their own stash!

In their envelope they each found some pieces of paper, a couple of ribbons, a couple of pieces of chipboard and some buttons. They all contained papers from different collections and I did try to match up the ribbons and buttons - see, I'm not tooooo cruel!

Well, you can see below how our fab team rose to the challenge, and read more about how they approached the dare on their own blogs. We're really looking forward to seeing the cards you cook up, so please come back and leave us a message and a link to where we can "taste" your creations!
Have fun Keryn

It's a patchy one!

Hello and welcome once again everyone. Jane here.

Can you believe its Friday again? The weeks in 2009 are whizzing by and its March already.

Many many thanks to those of you who joined in with Vanessa's lovely dare. There were some wonderful creations from you all.

Right, on to this week's dare, and its a 'patchy' one.
Yes, that's right - I want you to be inspired by patchwork and make a patchwork looking card. Great chance to use up scraps of off cuts - or buy some new papers if needs be! Any theme as long as it is patchwork inspired.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with - and don't forget to leave us a message and a link to your creation so that we can pop by and have a look.

Thanks again, and good luck
Jane and the team.
